Zambezi Helps Air Zimbabwe

After loosing all hopes from striking pilots to get back to their jobs, Air Zimbabwe has found an alternative named Zambia. Air Zimbabwe had leased crew and fleet from Zambia to resume Air Zimbabwe Flights. Three weeks ago, Air Zimbabwe pilots went on strike over the pay issues, Court attached Airline property for worth US $ 400,000 and authorized the striking pilots and cabin crew to auction them and resume their jobs. Striking pilots, now demanding 12 million US Dollars as salaries and allowances have refused to get back to their work even after local court orders.
 
On the other side Air Zimbabwe, which is saddled with huge debts of more than US$ 100 million is unable to pay more and airline has also suffered financial loss because of three weeks strike.
 
Air Zimbabwe has leased the crew and fleet from Zambia to resume the flights for national and international routes. Current steps are in favor of airline as well as the passengers who got stranded due to Air Zimbabwe flights disruption.
