Air Zimbabwe Strike by Pilots

Air Zimbabwe pilots went on strike due to non-payment of their dues by the government airline.
On Friday, 29th July, Air Zimbabwe pilots once again announced their strike against the airline due to the non-payment of their outstanding dues by the airline. Sources at Air Zimbabwe said that about 40 pilots working there are grossly unpaid by the airline due to the bankruptcy and current financial status of airline which do not allow it for the payment of about 9 million US Dollars arrears.
Due to the strike, airline has cancelled its flights for the next whole week from Harare International Airport and will revise the Air Zimbabwe flights schedule for some of its destinations. The customers whose flights are cancelled are announced to refund their tickets from the airline. Customers whose flights are falling on the strike dates will be informed by the travel agents of the airline and will be given the options of re-routing, replacement of tickets or full refunding.
As stated by the Air Zimbabwe board and management in a recent press release that negotiations are underway between the airline management and pilots, airline management hopes that airline restores to its normal functioning as soon as possible. Moreover as Air Zimbabwe strike continue the airline has requested its flyers to stay updated with the airline tweets, news and websites to refrain from any inconvenience they might face due to Air Zimbabwe flights cancellation or schedule change.
